If you want your strings to last longer, carry on sounding bright, and generally make playing easier, give them a rub with GHS Fast Fret, or an alternative, once in a while. Available on-line, or from your local music shop.

Had a poor set up on my guitar. Phoned Ed, and he set it up overnight at a reasonable price. First time I have enjoyed playing the guitar in a while. Ed is a really genuine guy who I knew I could trust.
