Well, technically it was a broken headstock, but that didn’t have the same ring! Anyway, my customer brought in her beloved Gretsch G9500-2SB acoustic, with a snapped headstock, which had surprisingly snapped under the tension of the strings!

Happily though, the headstock hadn’t snapped off completely, which made it easier to match up with the neck again. Normally, once glued, I’d clamp the two pieces together, but I saw a binding technique on YouTube, using a length of rubber pipe, which I liked as the compression is fairly constant, unlike my clamps which tended to slacken off.
